It was a sad night for this car. We watched it hit the guard rails and smash the whole side in. The driver left the starting line with the front wheels turned. He was unhurt.

This is Ron Springstead's 64 1/2 mustang.Ron worked secularly with Al Hart and Dick Todd who ran a 69 Mustang Mach I with a 428 Cobra Jet engine.Both cars were painted very similar by Benson's Body Shop in Central Bridge NY.
