I have been a Nascar fan since the late 70's and think the 1980's showed us some great racing memories. The 1990's were also great as well, with Earnhardt continuing his championship run!
The 2000's were exciting but with some driver's departed, it is just not the same today!!
That said, I wanted to research the early years of racing, just like Greg Fielden has done with his 40 Years books.
I have been a model car builder for over two decades, and with
this skill have interest in building some of the past driver's cars with die-cast 1/24 stock car replicas.
See some of my work here:

The cars are some of the build's that I have made and have communicated with Bill Rankin in the past for research, since he is such a great talent with his artwork and model car building as well.
Looking forward to getting help with some current projects for some diecast cars I want to build.
see future postings for more info!
