JUST ONE TIME!!!!!!! I will, at some point this weekend, write a blog post about the visit of 9 of us Racers Reunion folks to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte Friday, November 18th. I will preface that with this very short statement:

I had expected quite a different place from many things I had heard from the old time fans like myself, and I was a big a part of that mis-informed group before yesterday. I have so much in my mind, and my heart right now from that visit yesterday that to attempt to commence writing of that visit at this moment would tie up the rest of my day and with the 8 year old grandson visiting for the weekend, writing is a carefully considered option. There is quite a bit of information learned worth sharing not the least of which I learned that The City of Charlotte actually operates the Hall of Fame. NASCAR oversees and licenses everything, but the City operates it. I would suppose most of the more astute of you knew that. I didn't. But that is such an small part of what I learned yesterday.

So, hang around and see what The Legend has to offer up later. Oh, and one other point of order here: by the time we all left yesterday, certain of the employees in the place were calling me 'MR. LEGEND'. Jeff, see what you started!!!!!
