2009 Nascar engine builders contest
Was held this week by Nascar and Mahle Clevite , speed tv will show it sometime later.8 teams started on Monday and my son Mike Kasch's team came in 2nd on Monday.So they had to go head to head Tuesday with the 3'd quilying team from Hendrix.Won that match and wedsday faced off with Pro-Motors team for the win.A oil line came off as they started the engine and by the few sec. it took to stop and get the line back on they lost 19:27 to 19:44 mins.
Well first off , "CONGRATULATIONS" I enjoy watching that if only in my shop I could do one that quick! LOL It is interesting the cahnges to NASCAR motors form the time i was involved in LMS and limited sportsman from 73-81. My favorite engine was the 302 we ran inlimited sportsman at Beltsville Md.and Manasas Va. I thoguht that thing was bullet proof, ah byes those were the days
paul,he was also r/u last year , but won the 1st year they had the contest in 2000.
Paul all the teams that are in the challenge this saturday should be required to be entered in the contest and then after the competion the engines are impounded and put in the cars just prior to the start of the race and go for the gusto. How many would live ?
