each year the grand national cars went on a northern tour. Neil didn't want to go so we stayed behind. John Moose was promoting a race at a dirt track over in kanapolis for the local guys small dirt track. John called soap and told him he would give him a small fee if he would bring the convertable up there and kind of put on a show. well we weren't doing anything else so we hauled the car up there. little note, we did have a beer or two. the locals were on the track runing some practice laps so neil cranked up the car and latched his belt and started out to run with the guys. as he started I leaned over the passenger side and said, hey soap, how bout me riding with you?, he said hell grab yout hat and ass and get in. I climbed through the roll bars and sat down on the floorboard and held on to the rollbars. we did some hot laps side ways through the turns throwing roostertails of dirt on the fence. coming off number four, neil lost it and we spun down off the bank and through the pits. I climbed out of the car only to face to face with a track official. red faced as he could be must have had some irish in him told me in no uncertain turns that that better never happen again. I must say with a few beers, it was a blast. but then again I never did it again either.

Great story William. I'm sure the sense of humor was missing in that one! Thanks for posting.

Funny story but don't blame you for never doing that again! LOL
