I believe this is Butch's first race @ Martinsville in the early "70s. The car had just been repainted, from canary yellow #87 (Butch's original number when he teamed with famed Trans-Am car builder Ronnie Hopkins) to bright orange #16 for our family's company. Had a Hopkins 372 (400 block, 350 crank, spacer bearings, SY-! two piece Eldelbrock). Windows rattled at Ronnie's mother's house when this thing cranked up!

Thinking this was 1974 Dogwood 500 and he won best appearing LMSĀ
