After WWII, Red Vogt's Garage and Speed Shop was booming. With all of the GI's, privates and other members of the armed forces coming home, they wondered how to go fast in their jalopies and hot rods. Well....Vogt had that answer.The first stock car race in Georgia after the war was held on Labor Day of 1945 at Lakewood. With Lloyd Seay dead, the Raymond Parks owned and Red Vogt built team
