Preamble: This is being written on July 4, 2016, which should properly be referenced as "Independence Day".
Two hundred forty years ago, men gathered to sign a Declaration. The signatures affixed thereto signified the birth of a new nation. Most of us, who gather here on Tuesday nights these days, still have the deepest reverence for those men so very brave.
