Fantastic driver that paid the ultimate price to do somthing he truly loved . Hiding his medical problems even though he knew that it could and did kill him.

Explain his medical conditions I knew Larry and his crew very well and I have never heard of any medical conditions

Not that I knew of but I may be wrong What caused the accident was a blown right front tire

I was at that race in Talladega that took Larry away from us. It was a broken steering link that caused the wreck. Eddie

You may be right I was just told by hie crew chief it was a blown right front.

I never heard of any steel plate. I had always assumed he blew the right front diving off into turn one. Anyone who knows the whole story, please share.

A shame this magazine came out for October and Larry died in August of 1973. Wish I had a copy of this one.
