FREE Slurpees at participating locations. Enjoy.

lol..not sure I get it but then the air up here in N. Ga. is thinner than Florida. If 7 plus 4 is 11 then 11 plus 4 would be 2015 if that's how its done.....A free slurpee would be nice. Would it help if I told them I knew you.....

Free, huh? I may be able to afford that. Now all I need do is find a 7-11.

Bill, so you have moved already? Good for you! I'm rehearsing my singing so your birthday this year with either be very memorable or totally tragic!!!!

Dave, it is so great to have you posting again. If I can find a 7-11 I'm going to follow Bill's lead and mention your name.

Tim, Yes we have moved to Blue Ridge and I love sitting on the front porch and thinking about getting another race car. It will be such a great birthday, Not everyone can sing and I hear from reliable sources that you really can. Better watch following my lead, as that's gotten several folks in trouble. lol....

Fella, I'm ready for Tim to sing to Bill. Be careful about mentioning my name anywhere. Might get you a free boot in the posterior!

Bill, North Carolina is always described as stretching from Murphy (in the west) to Manteo (in the east) and it appears to me you'd be 25 miles or so, give or take, from Murphy.

Tennessee too. Beginning to believe 7-Eleven may only be in 7 to 11 states. Ha.

By the way, today - July 11 - is the 77th birthday for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, another NASCAR sponsor. Get a 2nd dozen for 77 cents today.

A Slurpee & a Krispy Kreme should give you your sugar fix for the day!

Slurpees cups should have an warning labels on it:
"CAUTION, SUCKING SLURPEES BY STRAW WILL CAUSE FREEZED BRAIN AND HEADACHES"!!

I remember an 7-11 store on every corner.

Since 1990 at least (5) 7-11 stores located route 360/Hull St. Rd. was closed up and converted to laundry mat stores or fish mart stores.

Thanks for any information or photos posted.

I finally located a 7-11 store yesterday about 20 miles from me. On the way, I had to pass the Krispy Kreme shop. Stopped there and bought my 2 dozen. Drove on, eating doughnuts and getting my steering wheel all sticky. I had eaten 18 of those monster sugar boosters by the time I got to 7-11. I went in and asked for my free Slurpee. The counter-worker, obviously just off the plane from Pakistan, had a difficult time understanding me so I went around to the Slurpee machine to draw my own. The little guy went nutso and called the cops. Cops arrived and I mentioned the free Slurpee day I had been told about but they knew nothing about it so asked me to come from behind the counter. With an attempt to smooth things over with the cops, Imentioned there were a half dozen doughnuts in my car, but that did nothing to amuse them. After a great deal of discussion and the cops radioing headquarters to check on the free Slurpee day issue, they agreed to let me go. On the way out of the door I mentioned that I was going to complain to Dave Fulton about this. The cop asked me "who?". I said Dave Fulton. That did it. Spent the night in jail just by mentioning Dave Fulton's name. To top all that, I never got but two sips of the Slurpee and my last six doughnuts disappeared.

Thanks a lot Dave.

Not one bit of my evening was funny!!!! Never been in jail before. They wouldn't even allow me ONE phone call as the law requires. When they read me my rights they did NOT mention to right to free Slurpees. That's where I went wrong. Never again will I believe Dave Fulton except when it comes to his perception of "Famous".

Bill, I think that if our mutual friend doesn't get himself straightened out by August 16, I'll have to make him a new sign for Devin to photograph!

Y'all have had me laughing on and off since Dave posted this discussion.

I would like to know where my Slurpee is, please. I can't find a 7-11!! Guess I'll have to call 9-11!

Devin, There are 5 locations in and around Charlotte and the closest to the HOF prob. being on Albemarle Rd. Maybe on the 16th of August we could talk Dave and his highness, er, the Legend into taking us there. I'm sure with those two our Slurpee's would be free. We could swing by the Southpark mall on the way and visit the cheese cake factory....

I could probably round up a couple of old 7-Eleven patches for Tim's orange jumpsuit. Then, he'd look just like a Petty!

One other thing.... you could also get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich on July 11 if you dressed as a cow and went there.

I guess Legend is really lucky he wasn't dressed as a cow when he went to 7-Eleven. Who knows what they'd have done!

I have been in consultation with my attorney all morning. After explaining what happened to him, and him checking out Dave Fulton, it has been determined that we will use the "insanity defense". It is my attorney's opinion that anyone association with Dave suffers some form of mental insanity and it is his feeling this will be an open and shut case before the court. I expect to walk away free and clear with no record of this arrest. My attorney has already prepared his closing statement: "If he didn't sip, you must acquit". Seeing as how I only got two sips of the Slurpee, that doesn't count.

I appreciate all of my "friends" stepping in to defend me, Billy and Bill especially. It is a good thing I do not need character witnesses. We may be working out a plea deal as well so there will be no need for court. My attorney says the Judge may be willing to overlook this indiscretion if Truett Cathy with Chick-Fil-A will offer the court free chicken sandwiches for a year. When contacted, all Cathy would say is "cheep, cheep" so I don't have much faith in that option.

Wonder where did #90 TRUXMORE FORD RACING TEAM get their supply of "7-11 Slurpee" cups, that was used in 1976 during the race pit stops.

1976 Dick Brooks pit stop, is handed by long metal pole a "7-11 Shurpee" cup of cold beverage or water during the race.

1976 Dick Brooks drinking from "7-11 Shurpee" cup of cold beverage or water during the race.

Thanks for any information or photos posted.
