Island Dragway Closed

I dragway i really called home has closed it doors. its the last real nostalgia strip around. alot of reasons for its closing but one bad one is drag racing clubs stop using it because it wasnt modern. i will really miss it. been going there before i could race with uncles in 1969 i ran there myself. dont know what ill do this year. some of my buddies are calling it quits to far to go any place else. if the tree huges keep getting they way no dragstrip will be safe and it will be back to streets. REST IN PEACE ISLAND DRAGWAY!!!!!! BILLY THE KIDD BENDER

Island dragway closed because they didn't know how to manage it. they got caught running all the sewage from the bathroom to the brook. Tony and Kathy were aways drunk. I raced there 30 years. They did not pay people when they won. I was one of them that didn't get paid. They blew money on fire trucks and other things they never used. They got fined for not have a fire extingishing system over the stove and also empty fire extenguisher .They didn't pay there taxes to IRS. When Kathy father [Ed] and mother [Kate] ran it they ran it right. they always paid people when they Won . Kathy and Tony chased people away from racing there.
