EVERYDAY, WE ARE LOSING TONS OF OLD RACING HISTORY AND OLD RACING STORIES.
THE OLD TIMERS OF RACING ARE DYING AND TAKING THEIR OLD RACING HISTORY AND OLD RACING STORIES TO THEIR GRAVES.
"LOST FOREVER, CAN'T GET BACK FOR FUTURE RACE FANS"

Dennis, you are on point with this comment. One of the biggest reasons somany "core" fans of the sport hate the Hall of Fame and refuse to visit is exactly that reason. They are leaving out some of the men who should have already been inducted. They induct D.W., Dale Jarrett, Rusty Wallace, and Bill Elliott, all of whom belong in there at some point, but not now. Not now when Raymond Parks remains out along with so many more of the pioneers.

As much as I wish your proposal would work with NASCAR, I have doubts. It seems the more the fans want changes to certain things, the more NASCAR resists. When NASCAR finds something the fan support which NASCAR can incorporate to their advantage it is usually done. Thanks for thinking about such important things as your post makes.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Dale Jr. and Bad Brad said they interested in "History of Old NASCAR"!!
Dale Jr. is buying up old magazines and old books on "History of Old NASCAR"!!
It will take Dale Jr. and Bad Brad to get their millions "TWEETER" followers to "TWEET" to Mike Helton and NASCAR.
TWEET: "THAT WE WANT 25 NASCAR OF HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES INSTEAD OF 5 NASCAR OF HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES EACH YEAR."
TWEET: "25 INSTEAD OF 5"

Thanks any information or photos posted.

If they did this and put in 25 each year how long would it take to its not the Hall of fame its the hall of everyone that ever participated gets to be in. ABOUT a year or two. The HOF is a business and has to be treated as such. Its not fair to some but if you put in nothing but the original pioneers that the majority of the new fans never heard of it will collapse. They need the recent era drivers to help sell it and make it vital. There is a lot of chatter for red byron to get in but look at his numbers. he didnt do that much. He did win the first championship but should he be in before newer drivers that did a lot more. You cant put in people just because they might pass away. I support the hof join every year and i still am one that never understood why there was a need for NASCAR to have one. There is the IMHOF which has had years without one person being eligible and some of the same people that are not in the NHOF are not in it. NASCAR and the other major series would have been better off putting money into the imhof if alabama would have allowed it. One HOF that covers all of racing. The voting ins going to get interesting next year. They have run out of no brainers and are going to have to start looking at the past more. Of course why do they need five in every year. If you have someone in with less than 50 percent of the vote did they really earn it. The system needs to be tweaked but no way to 25 a year. They would never be able to afford the displays lol

Twenty-five is probably too many but I would support a one-time deal of twenty. They can do it for a 5th anniversary special. Maybe do it again on the 10th anniversary. I'd like the voters to have enough leeway that they can add legendary owners, crew chiefs, promoters and such. Those folks belong in the HOF but the public really only cares about drivers.

The displays can afford to be smaller for everyone but the most recent winners. The Baseball Hall of Fame mostly just has plaques.
