Edgecombe/Tarboro Speedway

Was Edgecombe and Tarboro Speedway the same track? According to autoracingrecords.com it was located at the "Tarboro Fairgrounds...." Tarboro/Edgecombe fairgrounds appears to be different names for the same thing, and is located near Rocky Mount. Could the old track have actually been at Rocky Mt?
