Old 8 mm film of “East Coast Fuel Funny Car Circuit” from Spartanburg SC in 1974.
It is either incorrectly identified as Coca Cola Calvacade of Funny Cars or “Smoker” had made booking arrangements as such without us knowing it.
The ECFFCC portion starts at 1:26 and my car can be seen in shutdown area footage 3:13 to 3:16 nearest lane to camera. Notice no guard rail past finish line which was not uncommon during that era. If we lost control down there we had to contend with things like trees, ravines, crop fields, fences, roads, misc. and sometimes even different types of livestock.
