Humpy was certainly a great example of how to promote and sell tickets. I think for the most part he has it all right. I think the hardest obstacle to overcome is getting people to the track. The high ticket prices combined with great television coverage is going to be tough to overcome no matter what else happens. Even if suddenly the racing is phenomenal and popular new personalities and rivalries develop, watching it on the tube is economical and way easier than fighting traffic and dodging chicken bones....assuming today's fans still eat fried chicken at the track.

Hey folks,
We had some really close lighting yesterday afternoon and knocked out some of our studio equipment, but we're patched up and ready for tonight's Goat Rodeo at 7 PM Eastern.
We'll have the gang from Middle Georgia Raceway on as guests talking about their upcoming event, the Third Annual Middle Georgia RacersReunion that includes an appearance by "The King".
MGR used to have an operating moonshine still under the 3rd turn, and track owner, Tim Thornton would like very much to keep the MGR traditions alive by....selling moonshine....and maybe even racin some day. Tune in tonight to hear his plans.

I have golf radio programming all day on Thursdays...but, I'll start rescheduling now. I'd like to go. Let's make it "official"....and an RR sanctioned event.

Our friend and fellow RR member Ron Pestana lost his life one year ago in a racing accident. Ron's Music now playing on RacersReunion Radio leading up to STARS...and in the breaks for all shows tonight. Tribute to an awesome and talented lost friend!
