I did a driver search at Racing Reference. http://racing-reference.info for both spellings. Nothing there for Don Pruett....but
Racing Reference has a record for the spelling Pruitt in 1974 at Riverside running the #66.
You can go to Racing Reference and get the results for each of these races by clicking on the numbers in the second column
I would search youtube. There are dozens of compilation videos on there for that era. You may find find a 1974 Riverside clip.
As yousee above, according to Racing Reference he also ran 12 West Series races in '77, '75, '77 You can get all those results by following this link. http://racing-reference.info/driver/Don_Pruitt
I used to work with a guy who crewed for Jr at Myrtle Beach. He said the same thing about the cars. He said JR ran big spring cars when the technology was headed for coil-overs at the late model level. Said SR wanted it that way....possibly to more resemble the feel of cars he would be driving later in his career.
How about a Racestoppers Reunion on our Tuesday night show? Can we make that happen?
Doshia,
Welcome...and thanks for posting. Hope it helps to round up the Racestoppers.
Sounds like a project we could do here
By the way...the flagman is Mike Sykes and the driver of the car is non other than Billy Biscoe.
With mixed feelings I have retired the long-time default member profile of Barney Fife wearing a RacersReunion early era racing helmet. The purpose of that default profile image was to entice new members to hate it so much they would load up an image of themselves. Ask me how that worked...not too good. The new default image is below.
