#70 is Cotton Owens. #88 might be Frankie Schnieder. #11 Fireball Roberts?
Good job, Robert! When my dad started racing in 1964, one component of his '55 Chevy late model, was the 'tow light'. Flat towing was the norm.......a single red light, mounted in the space where the back windshield was located, and was permanent fixture of the car.
OK! Dirt's for racing! The passion of NASCAR/pavement racing is now found on dirt. Those fans that Daytona deemed "replaceable" did not abandon auto racing, but they did shift venues. It's coast-to-coast, it has star power, excitement, and passion.........and NASCAR ain't got one thing to do with it. They've forevermore lost that battle.
Junior did not do a burn-out, either. Old school Kulwicki Polish victory lap with the flat. Class act.
Maybe NASCAR is listening to the fans.........this was the first race of the season that was allowed to run to a natural conclusion. No end-of-the-race-Micky-Mouse cautions.
"I don't like waiting for a check" What IN THE WORLD is that all about???? Were drivers actually racing and then LEAVING the facility with the expectation of a "check in the mail" ? OMG.
Thank you all, so very much....my friends and family, and we are family, it means everything. The treasures of life. To have such loving support at these moments of life makes all the difference. My mother has been in the horrors of Alzheimer's for almost 20 years, but she is restored now. She is in a better place, her years of suffering are over, and she is home. My pastor told me, "we smile through tears....." It's true, my mother's passing was truly a celebration, and made all the easier by your support. God Bless.
