The 2014 'Cup schedule could be different and very interesting.....among other topics of consideration, is Darlington on Labor Day.....in a swap with Atlanta on Mothers Day. How ISC will wrangle this from Bruton, remains to be seen, but we can always hope.

OKAY! Justice is served.....well, kind of. However, as the Waltrip crew said "the 39 going to win the race........" Then, because of their shenanigans, he did not. Ryan's in the chase, but he did not win the race.......Carl Edwards did after doing the same thing (a penalized) Jimmie J. did at Dover.
Even if it was deliberate, and even if it can be proven, what can NASCAR do at this point? The genie is already out of the bottle, and the horse is out of the barn. They may can assess some type of penalty to Bowyer, for the start of the Chase, but that's of little consolation to Newman and others.

Dave, I've listened toJohn-Boy & Billy's Big Showfor years. Although syndicated, they're based out of Charlotte. JB&B's Curmudgeon-at-large andConcord-born, Robert D. Raeford, has always maintained and editorialized the non-racing attitude of the Charlotte establishment. According to Raeford, it's hardly new, and dates back to the non-support of even the concept of a Charlotte Motor Speedway. Guess there's nothing new under the sun.
Radio news reports cast this story in a slightly different light........with Chris Browning and Darlington general manager had both been relived of duty. Obviously, it's a semantics thing, resigning bieng more genteel than firing, but it sounds like Browning's resignation was non-optional.
