I like how the Together Forever words look like they form a bit of a banked oval.

I remember the Bearfinder CBs a bit. Vacationers and over-the-road truckers certainly tried to game the system with CBs to avoid the speed traps. And the 'technology' was obviously popularized more by C.W. McCall's song Convoy and the Smokey and the Bandit movie. My folks never had one. But my best friend's dad had one (and likely still does). I still have visions of that big whip antenna mounted to his chromed steel rear bumper.
So it was certainly a timely sponsor for that era. But I never did understand the droopy font used for the 05. Hard to believe some designer/painter stepped back from their work and said "Oooh yeaaaahh, my pice de rsistance! Wouldn't change a thing."
Yesterday I had a couple of Bear WALKER maple brown ales from Nashville's own Jackalope Brewing Company. Does that count?
Thanks Dennis! Great find! Going to save these also so I don' t have to go through this again down the road. haha
Was fortunate to score a copy elsewhere. I needed it to illustrate a point. With the recent rumor of RPM aligning with RCR, some of my Petty brethren are bent out of shape about the possible change to Chevy. I told them to relax because we've clearly seen The King in a bow-tie before.
I'm looking for a shot of Dale and The King at the banquet - probably 1994 I think. Its when Dale won his 7th championship. He and Petty are in their tuxedos smiling at Dale's trophy. I've seen it a million times but don't have a copy of it. And Google Images are failing me miserably. Thanks.
I touched on Bobby Allison's B&G ride several weeks ago. How about brother Donnie?
From Richard Guido collection...
and from Ray Lamm collection...
I think Delma Cowart's 1981 Buick fits this theme.
How about Bobby Allison in the 1969 Daytona 500?

Speaking of which, my son - toomuchtexting - and I delivered his Eagle Scout project yesterday. Finally I get my garage back! His project was to build 21 pedestals for the art lab of Room In The Inn - a homeless support organization in Nashville ( http://roomintheinn.org ). The pedestals are of varying heights and widths so they can be stacked inside one another for storage when not in use. One 36" x 36" x 18" pedestal actually holds 6 more. Paperwork and a board of review are all that stands between him and his Eagle court of honor.
