Those were the best looking IROC cars IMO, and don't look bad dressed in "Pink"

May 2005 Darlington "Mother's Day" race. I was there in turn 2 when Judy Petty and many other Moms were present for the Mother's Day race.
Actually, the discussion should have been about Pink Cars prior to the Race for a Cure drive that produced many, many pink paint schemes, all of which are for an excellent cause but, Pink has become a more popular choice since the Breast Cancer awareness movement and the color is not as infrequent as it once was.
Donnie Allison also drove the Slender You at some time. The unforgettable Marty Robbins in the Pink Daytona, that one stands out, nice pick.
This one would have made a good trivia question. What other time did Earnhardt race a pink car?
1989 IROC Camaro ( I still miss the IROC series)
Those are great shots Dave and, I never knew there were so many? One that really catches my eye is the Wood Bros.21, that's a good looking race car. I can't picture Big John Sears in a pink car though!!??
For years young boys and girls were taught that "Pink" was a girl's color but to some macho men and hard driving woman found "Pink" the color of choice for their race cars. So besides Johnny Hunt in his `68 Ford Torino Late Model racing in the Permatex 300 at Daytona, what other drivers drove a "Pink" car? - Add photo if possible Photo from my personal collection
Jimmy's Dad, Ed Spencer in 1972.
Ed owned/operated a salvage yard in PA. and had been known to stack a few cars over on the neighbors land from time to time. It is said that Ed Spencer had a temper that dwarfed Jimmy's and couldn't accept his neighbor complaining about the cars and wouldn't remove them, he disputed the claim instead.
