Max Papis fills in for Tony Stewart

Stock Car Racing History

I'm thiinking dumb right now!!
NASCAR Race Hub was showing and discussing Tony Stewart's Sprint car race crash. They mention that Tony Stewart would have to start this weekend Sprint Cup Race to make "The Chase" with #14 race car owner's points.
Can #14 race car without race driver Tony Stewart, make "The Chase" with #14 race car owner's points only??

Thanks for any information or photos posted.

Racing History Minute - August 1, 1959

Stock Car Racing History

Before the modern NASCAR era, Nadine Poor was a mechanic, crewman and crew chief for her husband, Bill, in the Convertible Series in the late 1950s.

driver Bill Poor's wife was the only registered female NASCAR mechanic.

It appears that Big Bill France approved an NASCAR membership card to Nadine Poor as an a registered mechanic, crewman and crew chief for race driver, Bill Poor.
And not listed on NASCAR membership card is a woman, wife of Bill Poor or mother of son, Bobby Poor!!

Back in the day, didn't the race drivers said "that Women, Kids, and Peanuts are Bad Luck" in the pits??

Darrell Waltrip would said "having listed his wife, Stevie Waltrip as race car owner got her in the pits and it opened the door for other women to be allowed in the pits.

Thanks for any information or photos posted

1977 Documentary Movie "STOCKCAR!"

Stock Car Racing History

Who are the "Head Honcos","Big Wigs","Boss Men", or Producers" of the movie "STOCKCAR! (1977)" ??
Dead or Alive?

Kennth Campbell, the film's executive producer. Dead
John Holmstrom, the film's producer-director/cameraman.
Glenn Johnson, the film's associate producer/cameraman.
David Holmstrom, the film's writer.
Ojeda Penn, the film's original musical score.

I'm sure more race tracks was filmed, So far I find out that 1976 film movie race footage was filmed at the old Richmond (Va.) Fairgrounds Raceway/RIR, North Carolina Motor Speedway/Rockingham,NC, Riverside International Raceway,Cal., Michigan Speedway, and Ontario Speedway.

Do the math, 8 cameramen would filmed whole lot more race film footage than 95 minutes.

If the movie "STOCKCAR! (1977)" was cut-down to a 95-minute film.
There's whole lot race film footage that was left on the cutting floor to be throw away or saved to make another smaller race film clipped movies.

Just thinking how many copies of the movie "STOCKCAR! 1977" was made and given to each movie producer/movie director/movie camera man. Located in boxes in some dusty old attic somewhere in good old USA?

Rick Campbell said his father, Kenneth Campbell had left him an big box of racing items like "Stockcar! (1977) movie posters, movie cards and (3) big reels of "Stockcar! (1977) movie.
Rick Campbell posted an Discussion on he didn't know what to do with these box of race items.
He sounded to me that he was looking for the best way of showing this film /perserving this film without someone copy it and selling it on eBay.
So I got Joe Kelly's telephone and give to Rick Campbell because Joe was interested and know what to do perserving this racing movie.
A couple days later I posted an question on his "Stockcar! (1977) movie Discussion, "asking him did he called Joe Kelly and he posted back that Joe Kelly told him to sell it on eBay.

I haven't asked Joe Kelly about their phone call.
I know Joe Kelly.
Rick Campbell must have wanted a whole of money or made Joe mad or both.
For Joe Kelly to tell Rick Campbell, that he can sell these important racing history items on eBay.

Couple days later Rick Campbell posted old 1960's (8) photos mostly old Richmond (Va.) Fairgrounds Raceway that his father left him. I left very important race history (dates, names of drivers, track names) I spent hours researching the photos and put comments his race photos.
Rick Campbell must gotten mad, because his race photos is missing, my comments to his race photos is missing, his "Stockcar! (1977) movie Discussion his missing, and his member name is missing.

Personally anything thing that Rick Campbell has, he can put it/sell it where' sun don't shine!!

Thanks for any information or photos posted.
