Him and his drivers are back together and enjoying Big Bills company. Wish he could have be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. before he died . He may be gone but his memory lives let's get Mr. Raymond into the Hall Of Fame.

Thanks to Jb Day and his gracious wife for such a great birthday party. Mr. Raymond looked great.Visited with Cotton Owens, David Pearson, Bud Moore, Rex White , Gene Hobby , Hoyt Grimes, Hubert Platt, Jim Bray and David Pearson to mention a few.

Pearson says Parks should be next in the HOF

I agree , in fact he should have gone in this year instead of both Frances. Without Mr. Raymond funding France NASCAR might not have ever existed. Plus he fielded the first winning car. Read the book DRIVING WITH THE DEVIL to learn more. Mr. Parks is a true legend and a gracious gentleman. David should also be in soon , he is a class act and still loves racing.

AIS 50 th Anniversary

Saturday May 1 st will be the 50 th anniversary of the opening of Augusta International Speedway. It will be the sart of the AIRPS celebration concluding Sept 18 with our racing reunion. We will hold our monthly meeting this Saturday at 11 am inside Diamond Lakes Community Center with a ballon relase of 10 ballons to represent the 10 years of operation. All are welcome . Join us to help keep the memory alive. www.augustainternationalraceway.org
