Hey Sleepy Heads--can you name the track where this happened?? And date ??

Trivia

David and Cale back in the day, or was it.

And the saga continues from race to race in the carolinas between these two good ole guys but this may be one some havent heard before
Now you know David and Cale are hard chargers Right??
Cale Yarborough & David Pearson had been battling each other for years on the track. They knew the others driving style well. They were battling one time for the lead. Track im not going to mention because it will give yall something to think about-------------
cale and david were battling for the leads and had swapped positions several times but now cale has the lead
Cale was leading but was slower than Pearson. Pearson gave Cale the chrome horn. several times but Cale didnt budge from his spot in front of David. Again and again , the Silver Fox bumped Cale. Still, Cale wouldnt give up the position.

Cale shook his fist at David & he knew that meant Cale would get him back for the bumps. it was getting close to the end of the race and Pearson went ahead & spun Cale out and took the position. and held on to win

After the race, Pearson sees Cale eating a Cherry Pie a fan had given him and was walking his wayGood ole american pie.
Cale walks up to David and asked why did ya spin me out?

David responded Cale you know why I did. I warned you a couple of times. You refused to give. I knew when you shook that fist that you were gonna retaliate.
Cales answer was a pie in Davids face,Yup he shoved it in davids face

Stock Car Racing History

His background is in mechanical engineering and that has resulted in a keen interest in doing original research and fact gathering, as well as developing organizational skills. Having spent 21 years as a NASCAR crew chief and car owner, he developed a competitive attitude as well as a number of fabricating and assembly skills.

After a stint as Director of Research and Development at the Lowe's Motor Speedway and employment as a Design Engineer he became involved in both MAFCA and MARC as a Fine Points Judge.

He completed a Wide Bed Pickup that received 481 points that resulted in "The Henry Ford" award, the "MARC of Excellence" award, and the "Raymond H. Matthews" for commercial vehicles at Indianapolis in 2005. At the MARC meet in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2006 the Pickup received 482 points, and at the MAFCA National event in Mansfield, Mass., it garnered First place with 483 points. It received the AACA First Junior Award in Ashville, N.C.

He maintains attendance at MARC technical seminars and is actively involved in the pursuit of details and authenticity of the procedures involved with the production of the Model A Ford and their components.

In November 2008 he became a member of the MARC Judging Standards Committee among other things he is involved in.

One other thing of importance is how a famous driver of Nascar got one of his first rides in a "Ford"...

Do you know who he is ???
