I just want to see him a competitve car. I don't see Letarte doing that. Put him back with Pop's. Someone he respects and will tell him like it is.
Man Johnny You are the "master" at writing Headlines.."resigning" vs. "re-signing"....that alone got this thread a ton of action........
You won't see Jeff Gordon or Dale getting fired anytime......
WE ALL HAVE PERFORMANCE CONTRACTS In LIFE...All.....
Dale is a very talented driver who already has more total wins than most. He is deemed talented by many of his peers. My answer (from the peanut gallery)? Yes, for now with Rick Hendrick..If not Hendrick..RCR with any friggin' # on the car.
If driving race cars ('Cup level),was easy..or playin' *golf (PGA level), was easy..everyone would do it....
(* Tiger..greatest ever..like it or not)..
Go Dale..... (and for what it's worth), *We love ya, and think your damned good.......
* lots of us....millions ,as a matter of fact.
Tiger Woods said yesterday when asked would he like to get back to his winning days with his old swing. He said no I want to move ahead with a better swing. I believe with a lot of hard work Jr can be better then he was. He needs to get back to work and make his father and fans proud no matter who he drives for. I like him and hope the best for him. Would not like to be him! W
Well if I made you giggle then that means I have put a little humor in your day--isnt that one of the goals we strive for so much on a day to day basis???

Johnny, sometimes you make me giggle. If Junior did not sign with Hendrick, exactly where do you think he would go? What will not happen (Sorry Jimmy) is some sort of a happy blending of Junior into the Childress #3 car. No matter how much advertising mileage he gets out of one Nationwide race in that Wrangler #3 look-alike, Richard has made it quite clear that the #3 will be driven, and already is in the truck series, by his grandson, Austin Dillon.
Even though, as Tim points out, the name is the same, he is not his Daddy, and frankly, he's not much of a driver. Semi-good looks, thanks to a face-planing and a hair stylist, will only get him so far, and the glow is already beginning to wear off that facade. (Just try to imagine Dale having his pock marks erased by plastic surgery and having his hair styled. There is a visual that will keep one laughing all day) The "Posse" numbers are waning, but Rick must figure that he can squeeze a bit more out of that well before it runs dry. I can't dredge up in my mind another major team that would be willing to pay the price that Junior demands for doing nothing.
I've been told a time or three that I'm too hard on Junior...but I'm still waiting for him to prove me wrong. So far, the score there is PK - 12, Junior - 0. If Rick offers him a five-year contract, he'd be crazy not to sign it...in my humble opinion.
