Jr is doing research and development for the rest of the year

Current NASCAR

--------Without a spot in the Chase Dale Earnhardt Jr has been tasked with helping his teammates Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon win races and a championship.---------Dale Jr wasn't doing a very good job of helping his teammates in the Sylvania 300 Sunday afternoon. He finished 4th - ahead of both Gordon at 6th and Johnson at 25th.If this is what it means to be the research and development team then Dale Earnhardt Jr needs some more of it.Do you think Chad Knaus will be sharing any more secrets with Dale Jr and Lance McGrew? -----

Going to and being there for the unknown visitor at Racers Reunion Gatherings

-RacersReunion® OUTREACH

Tim ,I dont add stuff unless it feels good and this has a feeling to it-- i have another i will put up sun on Free Pennington--I think you will enjoy it also Tim Leeming said:
That picture is such a fine example of the wonderful person Free Pennington is. Look at that "happy look"on the faces of all three of those kids. You're right, Johnny. This is what all us true racers need to be doing with the young people every chance we get. If we don't, the glorious history of stock car racing will be gone with the wind. Thanks for adding this.

Going to and being there for the unknown visitor at Racers Reunion Gatherings

-RacersReunion® OUTREACH

This weekend I watched as a group of young at heart and also young in age stand around a certain car and look, ask questions, and really look amazed at what they were touching, looking into and a few I think had that quick dream of "Wonder if I could do this ". It is amazing to watch a person who cares for the older lookers but especially the younger set, why you say?--well a correct word or a steering comment could save one youngster from the fate of poverty and maybe make them someone of interest in the future. If we in Racers Reunion have an impact on the youngsters of today then maybe they will be the leaders of Tomorrow. Then the world would be a far better place. Im attaching "O N E" photo to this to show you the look of pride in what this driver is doing here. You tell me the impact you think he has in todays people of the future, you do know he has connections dont you !!!

Historic Speedways and Ghost Tracks

Yeah sure, you going over there taking driving lessons from Ann so you can keep up RIGHT??? BE careful on the road Tim Leeming said:
Johnny, not that I am considered in the company of "the greatest" people on RR, but Ann and I will be there. So will Wayne, Devin, and I'm not sure who else from TSCM. I'll have to get out of there about 2:00 because I have committments at Sumter Speedway Saturday night. I am truly looking forward to this event. The folks in Augusta do a great job of honoring these true heroes and it's great to be a part of it.

Every one be sure to show up Sat.morning because this just may be the greatest Reunion ever at the old place. There will be some great race cars from Ga ---SC--NC and other states. Also there will be a neat showing of some great street rods and other memorabilia there. Also some of the greatest drivers of all times will also be there to talk to,shake hands with and take photos with too. And if you even remotely smile an autograph can be had also. Be sure to bring your camera because a photo is worth a thousand words not to mention memories. See you there and dont forget to wave at least.

A Question that was asked to me about this weekend at Augusta

Vintage Oval and Road Course Racing

A question was raised yesterday by some people interested in coming up Saturday to the Anniversary /Reunion at Diamond Lakes Park. One was will they be vendors there to supply food and drinks ?Another was is there a listing of activities for the weekend?and another will there be signage showing how to get into the park.I took care of the last on the bulletin board by telling and showing routes into park, But I have not seen a flyer or other advertisement to the fact of what will be available and what the program will be. Anyone seen any of this so I can put it out tonite??

THE MOST SIGNIFICENT CAR TO RACING

Stock Car Racing History

What car brought more modern ideas to racing in the early years than any other? They steered away from proven techniques and followed a whim of another driver who wanted to do it differently.------listen tonite and you MAY or MAY NOT have known this tidbit of useless information to some but to us it is history

Ever wonder why they did this back then?

Trivia

If you ever went to the races at short tracks, well any tracks in the 50's,and went down to look at the cars before a race and especially after a race when maybe a car would get protested? If you did then you would probably have seen the officials looking at a car really hard --well they want to pull the head off the motor to ck it. If you usually look real hard you will see all sorts of stuff hung on the left side of the engine over the head making it a no brainer to go pull the right head to ck for cubic inches and for stroke. why did the owners make it so easy for the tec guys to snatch off the head on right side?
