What is your opinion of the Talladega 2-car hookup?

General

It all looks good and makes for entertaining racing ------------------------but if you are not careful you will be just like Jamie, second best. But its sure better than the old follow the leader racing of days gone by--- there were over 80 different leaders in todays race so all in all it was a plus ------------------------------I guess

Is Jimmy and Jeff at outs???

Current NASCAR

After Mondays Rain delayed race Jimmie Johnson made a half-hearted plea with the media Monday not to make a big deal of his recent run-ins with teammate Jeff Gordon. After contact with teammate Gordon in Monday's rain-delayed Sprint Cup Series race, Johnson cut a tire and lost a lap on Lap 272.Still, he battled back at the finish to contend for the win. One more lap in the Cup race and a different driver would have been donning a cowboy hat and six-shooters in Victory Lane.Even following the confrontation with Gordon, Johnson was adamant not to read anything into it. Still, the champ admits he was pretty disappointed in how Gordon raced him,can you imagine that??.Its going to happen in racing, Johnson said. Doesnt matter if its teammates or not. There are just times where youre irritated by racing other guys. We will get to the bottom of it and sort it out. No need to play it out in the press and we'll get it taken care of at the shop and during the week and come back to the next race and do it again. I think we are both pretty frustrated with how we have been racing each other. Does this mean if I cant win you cant either???Gordon didnt hide his displeasure either. His comment on the radio, Im a little upset at him, was tongue in cheek. Gordons next remark, He must want to be treated different from everyone else, carried a bit more of the teammates' true feelings. Wow did He just say Jimmy expects special treatment??After Gordons day ended early, he said Johnson ran into the back of the No. 24 for no reason and called his teammate too aggressive, well thats a new one I guess unless Jimmy could be on to something there..I'll get over it and so will he, Gordon said. We'll talk about it. We are good enough friends, good enough teammates. It is more just the competitors in us coming out there and the aggressiveness of wanting to win. Not anything against one another ,but we will see how this plays out in Alabama."Given Gordons competitive nature, his frustration is not surprising. This season is starting to resemble the last four years where Johnson has dominated the Sprint Cup.*Whose side are you on?o Jeff Gordono Jimmie Johnsono I hope they both lose

A Ford for J.C, Hayes

Stock Car Racing History

This gentleman is living out on the side of the world where things are not really steady and things get shakey at times. I understand there are several things that are on shelves inside their house and J.C. has bought designer pillows to place on the floor to insure the items wont break when the world shakes.
After careful planning I understand he is relocating into the wonderful south eastern side of the states where racing is king. I understand he is also preparing to purchase a unique racecar of vintage origin maybe like the one attached. You see if it aint a Ford he aint buying so the man gets a Ford.

Bet nobody enjoyed Saturday at Columbia Speedway reunion more than me

General

Harvey, as much as you and I saw there, and as many old friends and now new friends we met, and shook hands with, and dont forget the cars from yesteryear that graced our presence, how could anything top that. As Tim stated thats a tall platform to stand on when you said nobody had more fun. But I will say this "NO ONE LEFT THERE DISSAPOINTED" I'll venture to say that much!!

You tell him Robbie He aint quitting, not this old goat. Fuss over stuff yes and complain because the widow is to small yes, and be in line when the dinner bell is rung you betcha.I do know he will be back because I have a short video taken at Columbia speedway that will show Tim that he will indeed pour himself into the seat next time we all get to the track, So never fear he will need a RE-TIRE man again thats for sure---------------------------------------------------------memories

Retirement of The Legend

General

Somehow I think this is a ploy of some sort to draw attention away from the real truth --and that is Tim is in fact only waiting for his true ride to become reality so as he will be able to truly become his old self again because R/R is on the verge of having serious growing pains and Tim will most certainly be needed to convey the lastest news to the members but retire??? naaaa he is only realigning the stars for the near future of our racing and trust me he will be in the drivers seat on the track. Beware all you racers he aint retiring

are you gutsey enough to drive this ?

Stock Car Racing History

Back in the early day guys used to crawl into a roadster and go racing, yup the things had a motor and body and doors but no top or Rollbars . Think about this now, fifteen or twenty of these on a fifth of a mile track going wide open and side by side. Just in case you dont get the drift of what it would look like I have a photo from wayyyyy back showing you what you missed by not growing up in the heyday of auto racing .
