Are you ready for the new smell? Not on you but at the track?
well if you missed going to the Chili Bowl this year there is a good chance you can make it to 24 hour Rolex race in Daytona this weekend. Jamie McMurray,Kyle Larson and AJ Allmendinger will team up to battle for the title Nascar style in the 24 hr race.
Yup its that season you know,that time just before the Daytona 500. Cars testing at the track and o yeah the short tracks around Fla are buzzing with nightly races so you speed junky's should be able to get pre buzz going before Green Flag at Daytona.
Oh yeah if you are nostalgic then go to the North turn and be part of the running of the original beach course that was run between 1949 and 1959. Should be some great sights and memories there. Dargan Watts said only 80 cars will be allowed to run the beach course so get your seats early.
Them Bell&Bell series cars from the sand hills of Carolina and beyond may go down this year and try for a clean sweep so keep a sharp ear and eye out on the Goat Rodeo for updates and the outcome.
And if you didnt already know this will be your Last chance to see Jeff Gordon run a full season. He is pulling the plug he says for something else, his own team maybe? you tell us what you think .....
