The things you find on Racers Reunion -- With or without the glasses !
Well you did it again I see some pull it off ok but YOU -- you do it with a flair that would excite John Philp Thomson during the buyout..
He said he was not going to drive for Hendrick for the rest of his career. He said his team JR Motorsports is thriving and doing well so when he walks off the Hendrick platform he will join the already gifted crews that perform flawless almost every week.. This will supposedly happen after he wins a championship. Either way JR Motorsports is the ultimate winner.
While trying to enjoy a nap in front of the TV it seems I got awakened by a car going sideways on the track, I replayed it and I could have been at a short track the way they were bouncing off the outside walls. What is happening to the tires all of a sudden, the tire rep looked puzzled as he was asked but it sure is shaking up the lineup for the table this year.
Anyone got an answer to the problem? Has the cars reached their limit?
Even the Miller Light Beer can smacked the wall ,
And whats this noise about Jr going off and driving for another famous person...
In her second full season as a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, Danica Patrick has made significant strides.
Among those who are paying attention?
Try Jimmie Johnson , the reigning and six-time Sprint Cup Series champion.
"She's been quick," said Johnson, speaking at a media event earlier this week at Charlotte Motor Speedway. "There's been Atlanta, Loudon last week, Chicago, (where) she's shown a lot of pace in really getting the car figured out. I can only imagine how difficult it is to come from an open-wheel car to a stock car. We've seen Dario (Franchitti), Juan (Pablo Montoya ), many try it, and it's not an easy transition, and she's doing a really nice job."
She is doing much better this year with the knockout qualifying so evidently her confidence is gaining momentum . You got to admit she is doing better on finishing too, even finishing ahead of many season pros. The 6th place finish at Atlanta was a plus so what about Dov er she actually likes the track so Sunday may be another milestone for her, unless Miles has other ideas for her hmmmmm.
There was a great 100 lap short track race broadcast on tv Sunday. Anyone watch it? Or was yall to busy watching a group of guys run from one end of a cow pasture to the other without stepping in something, falling in something while chasing a guy with a little ball.
Now the New Hampshire race started out as boring as you could ask for. Single file with the occasional stop for gas, tires,or a trip to the garage/bathroom.
Seens as though the crewchiefs are getting a little rowdy as Darien Grubb told Denny to "keep your mouth shut" while he was in the garage fixing a fuel problem.
But then the show started, Joe Gibbs Racing started the show off with a bang, Kyle and Matt started testing the sheetmetal on the Toyotas.
Then that white bullet with a 2 on it slipped n spun, but rallied back up to the front. kyle worked the cautions to work his way back to 8th place
On lap 193 Brad spun but worked himself back to the front in contention but eventually finished 7th.
Joey Logano won the race by virtue of sliding through the cracks in the wrecks.
Now with only the one race remaining before four drivers are eliminated from title contention, things have tightened up from eighth to 16th in the Chase standings.
With Keselowski and Logano already locked in, Kevin Harvick sits third in the Chase standings with a 41-point buffer on 12th, followed by Jimmie Johnson (+31), Earnhardt Jr. (+28), Kyle Busch (+28) and Gordon (+21).
Next week the concrete roller derby will be the telltale show for the guys providing they dont step in something or worse. Now who has that coin all those guys seem to be after that the guys in the black n white stripes are holding?
No little round balls were hurt in this !!!
Well I had trouble with that pig,all she wanted was to run and squeal but that caw... Now that took some doing as she thought those tight sitting jeans made her o-so slim. Trouble is in the turns neither the pig or cow worked.. Bottled water was best especially if you got that special kind off hiway 9..
Dave, you pick some way out yonder things to ponder with but on this one I can kinda relate with.
Hales Corner is just over the Wisconsin line and not far from the coast. I was leased to Anderson Trucking, they had yards all over the north . Big in Granite and moving B I G stuff. So that one is a true story. They hired many women drivers while I was with them. I said my goodbyes in 2008 and come home to the good life.

Everyone wants a prediction on what will happen in the grand jury room in Ontario County (N.Y.) when the Tony Stewart case is brought before it.
But this isnt sports, and it's not as if there is a lot of past history of similar cases to compare to this one.
Not only is it difficult to predict what jurors will do, the only person who knows what evidence and witnesses will be brought before the grand jury is the county prosecutor himself.

The Stewart case is like none other in recent memory. It is rare for a racecar driver to get out of his racecar during a race, approach another car on foot and be struck and killed, which is what happened when 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr. approached Stewarts car Aug. 9 at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
Here are some things to know about a grand jury in New York (primarily from the New York Grand Jury Handbook) and what will happen next:
Grand jury proceedings are confidential. So we do not know when it is meeting unless a witness speaks publicly. The testimony is only witnessed by the grand jury, the prosecutor and other court personnel, including a stenographer. Any witness can speak publicly after giving testimony.
The prosecutor, Michael Tantillo, did not have to let anyone know he was taking the case to the grand jury. There is no way of knowing how successful the prosecutor is when going to the grand jury, because in order to protect those investigated but never indicted, there is no public record of the grand jury proceedings. This is a rare case in the sense that everyone knows Stewart was under investigation so there is no confidentiality to worry about in the prosecutor announcing that he is taking it to the grand jury.
The grand jury consists of 23 people, of which 16 must be present for all testimony. All it takes is for 12 (a majority) to agree for a final decision. The grand jury does not determine whether Stewart is guilty. It only determines if there is legally sufficient evidence of a crime and whether there is reasonable cause to believe that the accused person committed that crime.
The prosecutor must present to the grand jury what charge he wants the grand jury to deliver so he can prosecute. The prosecutor then presents evidence to back up his case. The prosecutor could have decided on his own that no charges were warranted. But if the prosecutor believes felony charges are warranted, he must get an indictment from a grand jury.
The grand jury will decide at the end of testimony which can take a day or as long as several weeks, depending on the availability of witnesses whether to indict on that charge, indict on a lesser charge or not indict at all. If there is no indictment, the prosecutor cannot bring it back to the grand jury unless the prosecutor gets permission from a judge. The case can go in front of the grand jury at most two times.
There is no judge during a grand jury. The only time a judge is used is to answer grand jurors questions.
The prosecutor chooses the initial witnesses and evidence presented. There is no cross examination.
The members of the grand jury can ask questions. The questions often go through the prosecutor to make sure they are relevant and legally proper. The grand jury can also direct the prosecutor to call a witness a second time and can even ask the prosecutor to subpoena a witness to clarify information. Stewart also can suggest witnesses, but it is up to the grand jury to decide whether it wants to hear from any of those witnesses. If the grand jury asks for a witness that the prosecutor believes is not in the public interest, the prosecutor can ask a judge to make a final determination if the witness will be called to testify.
Stewart, as the defendant, has a right in New York to appear before the grand jury (and he has the right to not appear). His attorney can be present and advise Stewart but cannot object to questions.
The prosecutor in this case, Michael Tantillo, was elected in 2013 for his seventh consecutive four-year term. He ran unopposed.
Ward is not from Ontario County. He lived about about 140 miles away.
Now we know a little on how the devious minds in NY govt turn. Another reason to love the south..
