Jamie did it and in style

Current NASCAR

Ah-ha you weren't paying attention to the race or the post race interviews.. The dump truck deal with Jr was a statement he made about his car about mid-race. Also after the race the same statement was brought up at a interview with Jr, but he did drive the Dump Truck came in an easy 4th place in the race. Now you know the rest of the story------------------------------------------ !

Someone said a ways back THAT if you running up real close to the wall and something happens you dont hit as hard as if you on the bottom -- think it was Richard Petty

It was time for him and he was thankful to boot..But the ones who tried to best him fell short, some way short.

Kevin gave it the ole College try but Jamie stayed out front in the last segment .. JimmIE Johnson was there, just way back there. In short Jamie said this about the final 10 laps saying, its all or nothing meaning a Million or nothing, guess the Million won out. To me there was action in each segment and plenty of rubbing and racing. Kevin made it back with plenty of time to spare after qualifying for Indy 500 so he was exciting to watch finishing in 11th .

Now who saw Dale Jr in the Dump Truck??

Uh-oh Hey Tim,got a question for ya, who will we have to discuss with Sparkle Pony not there? You wont be mad at me if I pick on DW will ya?? just kidding -- seems as though Mr Blaney asked his crew chief a very important question at the start of the truck race, did you hear it???? What he asked was "did he have an answer as to how to outrun Kyle Busch in the trucks" I didnt hear an answer, did you???

JUST READ SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS DRIVER

Stock Car Racing History

Perry,I knew about the 1971 race but I guess I was out to lunch in 1970...

Both are great and Donnie is a hell of a man especially back then. Iknew them when they transplanted to Alabama. These old stories just get better with age ..When Bobby was in Middle Ga we got about a minute or two when someone didnt have a camera or mike stuck in Bobbys face, but he said in a few short words he really missed the days of yesteryear racing like we did now those were some great ================================ memories

JUST READ SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS DRIVER

Stock Car Racing History

As most of us are avid followers of drivers and their quests and especially if they are one you kinda feel like you know some of his accomplishments, kinda like Tim Leeming and Richard Petty,kinda....

Did you know that one Nascar driver, only one now, has been successful with the Indy / world 600 by competing in both the same year?

Yup one driver finished 4th at Indy and then won the World 600 all in the same year. That feat belongs to the one and only "Donnie Allison" Now you know who the most successful driver who competed in both races is

The TRUE All-Star Race really happened back in 1985

Stock Car Racing History

Ahh but now you just opened a new can of worms up Bobby... Riding around these superspeedways was all good for a bit but now here is where they should have redirected the path ..

The same cars as before but on a Bullring track like Bristol or Martinesville,or to stir the dust a little how about Eldora..

Run one race at each of the tracks then have the final casting at the grandaddy of them all---------------------------------------------------------------- Bowman Grey Stadium ..

You are trying to find the best driver correct? After you reach the end of this you will have the best of the best bar none.

Heck I would pay good money to see this ending------------------------------------------- Would you??

Stock Car Racing History

I know they done this in the past but if you really want the best of the cream to rise to the top the cars have to be identical in preparation. Jr or Bud Moore or Smokey could almost look at a car and change things.

Not naming Names but there are a few here on R/R that have that ability, stop and think that through. But if you tried to use all the knowledge on one car it wouldnt work simply because each has his own way to turn a bolt or twist a distributor,I think that hit close enough on the ones im talking about.

You put the cars out there and let the drivers pick the car---like going to a go kart track and climbing on the next one... Now thats how you find the best of the best!!!

-------- 14 YEARS AGO TODAY-------

Current NASCAR

On this day 14 years ago a young Adam Petty was in New Hampshire practicing for the upcoming Nationwide race when he was just 19 years old.. He shared the Petty grin his dad and grandfather had .

Although he is no longer here his spirit still reigns over Victory Junction Gang Camp. He may be gone but will never be forgotten---------------------
