It's claimed as a Georgia track since it has a GA address! Never been, but I hear it's meer miles from the TN line.

Just doesn't look like it says 'Adamson' one the side, in my opinion
Your good Dave! I doubt I would've even found that! haha. Thanks
This is the only picture I have on my computer of the Flagstand from that race. At Richard's retirement party in 92 at the Georgia Dome, the then owner of the Lakewood property restored the flagstand and gave it to Richard. In 2008, Richard donated it to us at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. Under the stand are two original Lakewood winning cars - Lloyd Seay and Gober Sosebee. I'll try and get a picture of the placard that explains the history of the flagstand and the incident between Richard and Lee in 1959.

Thanks a million for posting those screen shots Dennis! Even their on the Gibbs' Toyota cars, I really like the look. And with the piece in the middle, above the shifter, it even looks somewhat like a console. To me, it really looks like the inside of a real street car. I love it!

Bumping this thread up for the picture added.
While watching the Pocono cup race today, I noticed something in particular about Kyle's car. The dash looked like what it does in a real car. Most dashes in the cup cars today are completely flat with the gauges faced horizontally. His dash had the big hump on the driver side, just like the newer street cars do. And where the shifter was, almost looked like a console.
I just wish I had a picture of this..... I thought it was part of the gen-6 redesigning at first, but I noticed that Johnson's dash was the regular flat type.

6-10-13: I found, from Joe Gibbs' facebook page, a picture of the dash I was talking about. Although this is from their Nationwide car, it still gets the point across. It was the only good picture showing the inside (All the others had a bad glare on the windshield)
Look at the hump above the steering wheel - Like a real car, huh?
I didn't get to watch the ARCA race as I was at work, but as soon as I got home, I heard the good news. I'm so excited....just wishing I could see a video of the last few laps.

Her first beauty job was being the first "Miss Atlanta International Raceway " (AIR). Jimmy Mosteller got her the job, as he was the track's announcer until 1982, when he had a massive heart attack. At the time (1960), he was still peddling cigars (Hav-A-Tampa, the company he would later lead as Sr. National Vice President) Anyway, he was in the town of Dalton where Linda is from, when he stopped in a store of some kind, to offer cigars to sell. As the transaction was being made, he commented to the store owner what a pretty young lady that was in a picture on the wall. The store owner replied that it was his daughter and she was fresh out of high school. Mosteller said that at A.I.R, they were looking for a pretty young woman to become their trophy queen. Her father went to get her, the two talked, and all of a sudden, Linda Vaughn earned her first of many beauty titles.
