Bodine Loses Lawsuit - Sounds Kinda Stupid

General

I guess a comparison in this situation (in my comical mind anyway) would be " Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed, poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed then one day he was shooting in the grass up popped granny he shot her in the ...you guys know the show, I mean story.

Moral here was although Jed had ''gobs'' of money and was and still is free tolivewhere he pleases why on earth wouldhe want to move amongst this to begin with...Especially next door to Mr & Mrs. Drysdale. I know that was a T.V. show but it was a show that directly reflects WHAT fuels these same HOA type fueds in the first place. Comical on T.V.? Yes... True in real life? Yes...MMMM?Maybe, just maybe a script writer in the greater L.A. area circa 1963 had experienced the same thing in his ''snobbish'' hood.

Someone stated earlier that they would have the real estate agent check on the regulatory situation, i.e. HOA and would decline to buy based on their feelings about being told how to live... Now that to me is using your noodle and your money, earned or inheirited... If you chooseto move into the area where it is what it was before you got there then you have no grounds for complaint about what it is now that you are there...Sounded different as I was thinkingthat than when I just now read it back. Oh well.

In short if you move into a neighborhood with ''these people and this stuff'' in place and then try to do as you please even though this is America and you do have rights, I would say that you be a bigger moose than the ones with the rack.

Bodine Loses Lawsuit - Sounds Kinda Stupid

Come on now guys, H.O.A.S are serious business but this is post has become way too serious...I try to find the humor in everything, even the H.O.A., if that is possible...I agree to disagree and in turn laugh about it...Being a frequent reader of these posts I will venture to say that PKL meant no harm to anyone and Wally did not either...Just my 2 cents and in reality the only sense I have...

Wally,

Never met ya but I would be willing to bet that you are NOT a petty little despot and I am SURE that you are not God.

Glad you are just Wally and glad to have you as that. I am sure the HOA is glad to have you as well. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping the riff raff out of the hood.

By the way, since I am betting you are not one, just what is a despot? Is it like a defamatory phrase?...The word ''petty'' in front of it makes me think it is not a good thing...It makes me glad I live in the boonies as I don't want to be a HOA despot...Yuk!

The fans and the sport has changed. Does it really matter?

General

The cars are what done it forme. Drivers are human and are no different than the rest of us other than being a driver of a race car. Sure there are the different personalities but then all walks of life have that going for/or against it.

It wasn't the certain make (although I was Plymouth faithful) it was just the fact of the ''stock'' sheetmetal cars sitting there with the roll cages, wide tires, no windows, lettering all down the side and stillretaining the original look that camefrom the manufacturer. You could look at a Ford T-Bird and know that is what it is. Now all the sheetmetal looks the same and it takes an act of Congress tomake it that way and get it through tech....God I hate the dreaded word,AERO PUSH! Talk about ruining competition...''Car ran good today in clean air but I just could not do anything as when I tried to make a move I lost the front end''. Thatin itself ought to be enoughe to roll Smokey over. I can hear his take on it now, or at least imagine I can. It would be r-rated for sure.

I can get excited by any driver who has the sense and kahuaunas to drive it like it was stolen and get away with it, don't care the name...What does not excite me anymore is what those drivers are doing it in..slab sided, lopsided, whampie jawed somethings with a decal where the headlight supposedly went... Iwill stop.I could on and on and I am only getting more frustrated as I write this cuz I know the good (best) times are over for good as Merle would say.

Banjo, Hutch, Emanuel, Tiger Tom, thanks for building the cars that I fell in love with and still love to this day.

WELL HE FINALLY MADE IT

Stock Car Racing History

D.W., You are not always right, you are always opinioned, you can bemore aggravating than ''Digger'' at times. That is what the public sees.

Sounds like how many more of us? Confession, I fit inthat mold a little more than I would like. So.....

D.W. you are loved as the child of God you are, but as the Georgia Sattellites so eloquently sang..."Don't feed me no lines and keep your hands to yourself"...Is that not correct B.F. Jr.?

B.F. if that is not correct then that just may explain the divorce situation. Just a thought.

Appearances can be deceiving.

The Perfect Kyle Busch Gift

General

According to Nascar the charge for smashing a bottle of Childress vineyard wine over Kyle's head is $150,000.00...Price of wine not included!

Childress Punches Kyle Busch?

General

It is one sided guys. Kyle was the poor sport here. Childress just made him man up and answer for his actions to someone that it really mattered , R.C. himself.

Kids misbehave (Kyle), adults reprimand (Childress).

If you have ever owned a race car then you know EXACTLY where Childress was coming from. I have owned cars and from that perspective I say again it was as the old saying goes...." The devil got his due"

Were it not for us out in public land looking in, the matter would be over.

A good smack up side the head is not a civilized action for sure but there are those in this world that just beg for it anyway...so with that I say Kyle got his. I am now anxious to hear from Kyle to gauge whether R.C. hit him hard enough or will it need to be done again at a later date.

Also I would say that chronilogical age is not nearly as critical as the maturity level when racing competitively. Kyle has proven that point over and over again.

What happened in Las Vegas 20 PLUS YEARS AGO should have stayed the heck in Las Vegas.

Childress Punches Kyle Busch?

General

I look at the Busch Bros. from the position that Tim has stated. Parenting...If it has nothing to do with the way that these guys were raised then what has caused such arrogance? It certainly reflects badly toward the parents...Shoulda, coulda, woulda kicked their butts...Hello Tom?

I would think that it would be a proud moment to say that both my sons were professional Nascar drivers, and a sickening moment not to want to say which two...What a shame. Or at least it would be for me.

Nascar probation, please!

If this really happened this way , I say that in this case punishment served first equals deserved justice for all victims, past and present. You had it coming Kyle...You wuz beggin' fer it little man.

Congratulations to R.C. for finally showing Kyle (and B.F.Jr.) what a real racer will do with your butt when he has had enough of your stupidity...Heck ,I bet it even made Mr. Hendrick crack a smile.

Again, thank you Richard Childress as you have elevated my level of respect for you to an even higher degree...Never thought I would say that in this type situation but,... it was Kyle!!!! OOOOHRAH!

Classic Dale Sr. addressing the other drivers concerns about high speed at Talladega in the mid 80's....

I do believe he was serious.
