Sad news about Billy Wimble

Prayers for one of the greats.
Concrete is for sidewalks.
E & D Speciality Stands of North Collins, NY erected the 112,000+ steel & aluminum seats that once stood at Richmond International Raceway over the course of several summers. They also erected stands at Martinsville, North Wilkesboro, New Hampshire and Dover. Don't know if they're reaping any benefit from the destruction of those same stands or not.
If you click on the link below,it will take you to the "About" page for that company. The photo at the top of the page shows V.I.P. suites in turns 1-2 at Richmond and the beginning of the FORMER Henrico backstretch grandstand, part of the 60,000 seats Richmond has now shed, including turn 3 seats. Amazing.
I'm sure the scrap aluminum and steel dealers get down on their knees every evening and say, "Thank you NASCAR, it's a good time to be a scrap dealer."
I was at that race. Harry Gant brought a '57 Chevy, but didn't fare nearly as well as the '57 of of Coleman Mann from Powhatan who'd later become owner of the famous #00s driven by Al Grinnan.
I'd love to see anything you can dig up on the 1960s - 1970s Bill Bogley Lincoln-Mercury Gold Trophy NASCAR National Championship Late Model Sportsman races at Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Virginia. Just like the better covered Dogwood and Cardinal 500 LMS races at Martinsville, those Old Dominion Speedway races staged by the Gore family featured a who's who of LMS cars and drivers, with 20-30 cars going home not making the fields.
It was almost more than I could bear to see both Pearson and Petty in a Ford. That was when Hylton was using that nasty orangish/yellow color on the #48.
OK, Tim... If you ever stop being The Legend, I want my sign back! And, what the heck would you call the Legendtorial?
Thanks, Dennis. I think when I got over to Sanford your Dad was busy on the Grand American circuit because I don't recall seeing him.
