Check out the house of Billy Ray Silas in Stuart, Florida, the individual to whom the bank passed the Rockingham property via BK Holdings. Looks like you could run a pretty good race inside that place.

Racers have always loved a challenge and this would certainly be one based on those Rockingham photos we saw a few months back.

Joe and Ruth Kelly receive motorsport broadcasting honor

Joe and Ruth Kelly were honored by the National Motorsports Press Association this past weekend at organization's annual convention in Concord, N.C.
The husband-and-wife radio broadcast team from Richmond received the Barney Hall Award for broadcast excellence, which is named after the long-time MRN announcer.
The Kellys hosted a weekly racing radio show in Richmond - "Let's Talk Racing with Joe, Ruth Kelly" - for 30 years. Joe Kelly was part of MRNs on-air lineup in the early years of the network.
Joe and Ruth did their final show Dec. 27.
Interesting to note that the program cover lists the track name as Los Angeles International Motor Raceway, but the newspaper ad promotes the race at Riverside Int. Raceway. That name change happened a lot quicker (before the first stock car race) than Alabama International Motor Speedway (A.I.M.S.) becoming Talladega Superspeedway. Kinda like we never said we were going to a race at North Carolina Motor Speedway. We went to Rockingham.
Don't know if Robbie made the show or not. Have only seen the top-8 results.
Davey Allison's son and Bobby Allison's grandson, Robbie Allison will attempt his first career late model start this Friday night at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, NC.
