Great story and fantastic photo's, thanks to all you guys that make this possible.
Not sure about this proposed change. If ,in fact, It comes down to 4 drivers with the same points in the last race and the winner takes all, why not just make the champion the winner of the last race...??? I sure hope they are not trying to make nascar look like the road warrior movie. I dis-trust them so much it makes me wonder if they are trying to ensure Johnson wins another or preventing him from tying or beating the record...interesting...
Whether it was being pushed by a helping hand or a heavy foot it was flying. I sure hope he doesn't overdrive and have a problem. I'm looking forward to the match up for rookie of the year between him and Kyle Larson. Should be a good one. These kids today are really something.
The Rockin'Ranch on S.Nova Rd. in Ormand Beach is still going strong as a country nite club. Might have to go by and see if the painting is still displayed.
wonder if anybody believes that the announced speed wasn't tweaked a bit for some publicity....This was fore casted a few days ahead by several folks, just wondering....
great link Cody, I have heard many stories about him over the years from my crew chief, Dave Savoie who was an ASA crew chief from Michigan. I was sad to hear about the way he died but now maybe can feel like he did exactly what and how he wanted . Everyone says he was one of the best. May he now rest in peace.
super nice job! love anything with checkered flags....
Great report Tim. Love to read your history reports as I learn so much....
A name long associated with all forms of racing. May he rest in peace.
what a heart felt story. Sad to lose such a fine young fan and give praise to the warm hearted racer who befriended him. My sincere condolences to the Doub family and accolades to George Brunnhoelzl III. Both were champions in my book.
