Augusta International Speedway Eight Track Racing Complex
The Eight Track Complex operated between 1960 and 1970. The complex featured a 1/2 mile oval, a 1/4 mile drag strip, a micro midget track, a karting track, a motorcycle scramble track, a 3 mile road circuit. All of these featured events. A 2 mile tri-oval was started but not completed and the lakes were to be converted for hydro-plane racing. This was the worlds largest racing complex during the 1960's. The only track remaining is the 3 mile road circuit which is being developed into Diamond Lakes Regional Park which each year hosts the Augusta Vintage Nationals.
