November 16 - This day in Petty history 11/16/52 - Lee finishes 2nd in a 100 lap race at Lakewood Speedway in Atlanta.11/16/86 - Kyle finishes 15th in the 7-11 Wood Bros. Ford and Richard finishes 21st in the Winston Western 500 at Riverside as Tim Richmond wins for the 7th and final time of 1986.11/16/97 - Petty cars earn double-chicken money with 2 top 10s in the NAPA 500 at Atlanta. Kyle finishes 6th in the Hot Wheels Pontiac, and Bobby Hamilton finishes 7th. This was the first race at Atlanta with the new "quad-oval" configuration.
