Steve Moore's 1981 Chevy Malibu Daytona Qualifying
Steve Moore's first attempt to qualify in the Daytona 500 came in 1981 when Steve entered a Willard Moore Chevy Malibu. The little Malibu showed promise but failed to qualify in the UNO Twin-125 when he finished 17th. Steve would try 3 more times in 1982, 83, and 84 and finally was offered a ride in 1988 driving for Roger Hamby where he finally qualified for the Daytona 500.
