I am sure glad to see tributes to these cats. They were really as good as the Grand National guys of those years, and most certainly better than those of today. I am literally disgusted by the adoration of today's drivers, crews and owners. I will take a Buck Simmons, Freddy Smith, Jody Ridley, Billy Scott, et al any day of the week. There are plenty of younger versions around these days. Oh, if only I could vent...........

Very true my friend, sundays race was the first in a long time worth watching, you take the true dirt guys out of nascar and put them on a mile dirt with this "C O T"they drive and maybe you could have a show,---like i said before anybody can drive on pavement but try to run 100 mph plus in a straight line then turn left, its a feeling no where else in the world can give you!! Ive raced on short and long tracks, paved and dirt, even superspeedways but nothing gives you the thrill of stacking up 3 or 4 deep sliding into a curve at speed -------memories
