I found an old ,well I wont say "old" but a restored car of our liking with experience built in it and immediately Tim Leeming came to mind because of his expert knowledge in matters such as this and I will attempt to share it with all if I dont crash this computer again in the processThis car one of Bob Moore's collection of his rides up through the 60's and 70's and trust me his rides were no push overs -------------------------memories
Tim,Bob Moore's Plymouth, and others, have already made the trip to Augusta on several occasions. Not sure if it is on his list to transport this year. Here it is sitting in his shop in Warner Robbins, Georgia.Bob is a great supporter of the activities here in Augusta and his name is on the monument sitting in Motorsports Memorial Plaza for his Grand National activities at the Augusta half mile. He is also a member in the Augusta International Speedway Hall of Fame. What a great individual and what a great driver...............one that made it to the Big Show and loves to tell racing stories.Henry
Bob and myself started out racing in warner robins together--his old partner and dear friend of my family Stewart Seymore built my first car for me in the early 60's
Ya Henry i hope that croud will show up this year i no young Tim is looking farward to September and he is got a lot of people comeing with him
Johnny,Bob was actually in Augusta when Stewart passed away. Stewart had told Bob NOT to come home until he completed his trip to Augusta. Tells you a lot about both of those gentlemen.
Yeah I know , Stew was a real unselfish person always looking out for the other person , he was on the police/fire dept. at home and what he done there well you would be amazed,at the track he was a driver then then the famous #39 chevy coupe was built named ( RO-HO) that 39 model chevy coupe was the car to beat on the tracks around home,I chased that coupe more than anyone else. The driver Charlie Burnette was a unique person and a good friend to boot--i think i got a picture of that car
