Ok guys and gals too, I need some help here,where is this track located at--its in 1957 and the way the dirt looks its got to be over on southeast side of the states,nNC-? SC? YOU TELL ME

It looks like the track in Dale The Movie when he was driving the pink car. Though, I'm not sure where it is.

Tim I thought maybe Hillsboro too because of the dirt bank as a wall, but if you look at my pic, just beyond the spectator parking on the left is a little path, which seems to be the same path as the mother and son are on in Johnny's photo.

For what it's worth-In Johnny's pic- The front row is Marvin Panch and Fireball Roberts, then Buck Baker(winner) and Jim Paschal, Paul Goldsmith and Jack Smith, Speedy Thompson and Ralph Moody, Ralph Earnhardt and Billy Myers, just behind Myers is Bill Norton.

Fine, Perry, just one up me! (wink) I left out Allen because all you could see was a fender. I wonder if you have the same reference book I have, Forty Years of Stock Car Racing-The Beginning.
