I grew up watching Sterling from his beginnings in late models at Nashville in 1976. He was in a rookie class with Mike Alexander, P.B. Crowell III, and Dennis Wiser. Pulled for Sterling each week out of that bunch. Saw him win regularly and saw his hair fall out rapidly. And in this photo - dude, it needs some work. Looks like character from The Lion King.
