The Holman-Moody "crewchief" just happens to be Fearless Freddie Lorenzen, the "Golden Boy" or "The Elmhurst Express". Other than David Pearson, the most famous Ford driver of the 60's. He had retired in May of 1967 and was Team Manager of this Holman Moody car that Bobby Allsion was driving. This same combination also won the October race at Rockingham in 1967.

Later on in November at asheville-weaverville Freddy was there with Swede Savage trying to tutor him up some. Bosco Lowe drove the Banjo Mathews fairlane in that race. I remember walking around the pita on a ice cold saturday afternoon.Ithink Bobby won that race which was canceled from August.
