This was the Bama 200 at Talladega August 1971. Red Farmer is in the white car beside Bobby.Red was the only threat to Bobby until his engine blew. It appears that is Wayne Andrews in the '71 Mustang.

Blane is correct. The #98 Mustang driven by Red Farmer was owned by Jack StClair from Roanoke and dad was driving for Reid Shaw from Asheboro. These 3 were the only cars to lead laps that day. Red ran 29 laps before the engine blew and finished 19th. Dad finished second to Bobby in the Melvin Joseph #49 Mustang, only cars on the lead lap.The #15 was a H-M car with a '71 model body. The #98 was another H-M car with I think '70 sheet metal.

Another bit of history in this photo Jim, The car that Red is in is also the same car that Coy Blue drove some and is also the car that Dad drove in 1972 to win the GA Championship.
