Great pic of Curtis in Smokey's car. You can tell it was Charlotte's first race still had alot of dirt in the infield. Great pics Mrs. Turner-Wright. Hope you are doing well.

@jerry-sims16 years ago Not wanting to start any trouble but that ain't Curtis. Those are '63 Chevrolets and that's probably Banjo Matthews in Smokey's car. Curtis was running USAC in a Ford that year.

It was either Banjo Matthews (ran in 600) or Bobby Isaac(ran in 500) in 1963. You are correct Jerry, Curtis was in USAC.
@jerry-sims16 years ago Can't locate my book to check if Curtis ran the first 600 but if he did he'd have been in one of Ralph Moody's Fords that looked a little like this.

Curtis drove in '60 World 600 for Holman & Moody.
