WILL GO DOWN IN INFAMY WHERE THE FOLKS WHO REPRESENT STOCK CAR RACING BEAT CITY HALL!!...IN NO TIME SINCE NASHVILLE DAVIDSON COUNTY HAS BEEN DECLARED A METROPOLITIAN CITY(1963)HAS SO MANY TURNED OUT TO OPPOSE A PIECE OF LEGISLATION...THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNTS WERE 2,000,BUT THE OFFICIALRECORDEDCOUNT WAS2,970 GOINGTHROUGH THE DOORSINTO THE METRO COURTHOUSE!

James,the Tennessean is a rag paper,but it might have been referring to the last council meeting(3rd reading of the bill)...Man,what a night!
