I'm not sure, but I think this image was made at Indy in 1967 when Cale drove for Bryant Heating & Cooling. He drove for the Wood Brothers Grand National team in 1970 and joined Gene White Racing in 1971, but his Indy career was cut short when White found that he could only afford one Indy car and the one that Cale was driving was not the one he was keeping. He did finish 16th in the 1966 Indy 500 as he was involved in a multi-car wreck before he got to the flagstand. In 1967, he was running 3rd in the car pictured above when a right-side tire blew and sent him into the wall and out of the race. He was credited with a 17th place finish. In 1971, he returned to Indy and was 16th and in 1972, he had his best finish in his four tries at indy as he placed 10th.Yarborough returned to Grand National racing full time in 1973 and won four races in a car owned by former Charlotte Motor Speedway president, Richard Howard. The following year, he recorded 10 wins while driving for Howard and then for Junior Johnson. His record with Johnson is as follows: 1975, 3 wins; 1976, 9 wins; 1977, 9 wins; 1978, 10 wins; 1979, 4 wins and 1980, 6 wins. He also won three straight Grand National/Winston Cup titles. He left Johnson after the 1980 season and joined the M. C. Anderson team and recorded two victories. He was quite a driver!

....and you are quite the historian, Dargan. You probably recounted all that from memory.

My wife, Jane and myself were there in the pits. All of the Bryant dealers from across the country were asking, "Who is this country boy, Cale Yarborough? Why would we have an unknown driver behind the wheel of 'our' car?" When Yarborough made his way up to third behind the jet car of Parnelli Jones and A. J. Foyt, people changed their tune about him. A blown tire put him out of the race, however.
