Reds Fowler with the flag won the first (at that time) new car race at Marlboro Speedway in Md. It was a car right off of the showroom with only a seat beat added. The cars were tough in those days. The guy was a Hudson Salesman at Shreve's Hudson next to the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., and his wife were the car owners. Reds also had a "Daredevil Show" in the Md., & Va., area. He lost his life at the same speedway in the same car a couple of months later. Checkout the guy on the right with the white shirt. He was a famous racers and I can't remember his name. Looks like Red Byron.
