This is a very special week in Daytona because, it is the 50th anniverseray of "Fireball" Roberts sweeping all events Feb., 1962. Glenn "Fireball" Roberts, still holds a record that noNASCAR driver yethas accomplished. That is, winning the Shootout, Winning the Pole, Winning the 100 Mile Race, and Win the "Daytona 500". He also went backin July and Won that race as well.I could not make it to Daytona this year, However I have friends there with Jimmy Kellet's clone of the 1962 Pontiac, and they have even taken the car to Glenn,Doris, and Pam'sold home place in Daytona Beach. Wayne Haynes is towing the car around on his rollback. The car will be on display at the Fan Zone inside the Daytona International Speedway starting tomorrow, I think. Anyway this is an exciting time this year, and if you want to see more photos go to fireballrobertsfan@groups.facebook.com until I can get more old photos on here. You will have to ask to join since it is a closed group owned by me. Thanks, and have a great race weeks 2012.
