Great guy who didn't deserve to go the way he did, I was there that day and it was the worst wreck I've ever seen.

I have seen this wreck on YouTube and it was bad. I remember Sam Summers racing in the late 70's. I guess it was the same Sam Summers that was in the wreck with Mac Tavish.

Bumpertag, I thought it was on youtube, but I saw it once right after it happened on ABC and that was enough for me. A brutal wreck. As far as those who witnessed it in person, the sights and sounds of that day will never go away.Pete
