Absolutely fearlessly on two wheels, Lloyd Seay Amazingly turns through the north turn at the old Daytona Beach-Road course. Big Bill France called Lloyd Seay, "The best pure driver I ever saw, and I have seen them all!" Starting from the back of the field at his home track in Atlanta, Georgia; Lakewood Speedway, for the annual 1941 championship event, by lap 35 he had the lead and lead the rest of the way. It was his third win in nine days. Hours after winning the famous race, he was shot to death by his cousin, Woodrow Anderson on September 1st 1941, (I Think) Thanks for the foto - wonder if its 1941?
